FIRE CAPTAIN manages a team of firefighters. Ensures all equipment is properly maintained and serviced. Being a FIRE CAPTAIN directs training and conditioning activities. Administers the staff work schedule to ensure adequate coverage. Additionally, FIRE CAPTAIN leads and coordinates responses to fire events, hazardous material incidents, auto accidents, and search and rescue operations. Prepares post-incident reports as required. Leads or coordinates fire safety education and inspection activities. Typically is required to pass periodic physical ability tests. May require registry in NREMT. Typically requires an associate degree in fire science. Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Typically reports to a manager. The FIRE CAPTAIN manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a FIRE CAPTAIN typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Duties and Responsibilities:
     
    • Prepare pavilion for Caterings
    • Gather necessary paper products and supplies for picnics
    • Communicate effectively with the guests and the serving lines
    • Deliver the food and beverage for the picnic within a timely manner while maintaining food safety
    • Ensure Caterings are on schedule
    • Keep the serving line stocked during picnics
    • Ensure the guests needs were met before, during, and after the picnics
    • Disassemble pavilion and return food, beverages, paper products, and supplies as needed
    • Communicate with Catering managers in all aspects relating to the picnics

    Requirements:
     
    • Candidate should have the ability to build strong relationships with guests, provide a high level of guest service, and be a team player
    • Candidate should have strong communication skills, problem solving skills, time management skills, and the ability to multitask
    • Candidate must have strong leadership skills
    • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays
    • Be able to lift 30 pounds, stand for an extended period of time, and work in an outdoor environment
