Overview:

As a Bartender, your primary responsibility is to curate an exceptional beverage program and experience for our guests. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of spirits, and other beverages to enhance the overall dining experience. Your expertise will contribute to guest satisfaction, and you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our establishment. It will also be crucial for you to collaborate with the Sommelier and Chefs of the visiting restaurants. 

Responsibilities:

Bar Program:

• You will work closely with the Sommelier and Service Manager to curate fun and innovative cocktails and mocktails, in conjunction with collaboration with the visiting chef and beverage team. 
• The goal for the beverage program is to align with the ethos of our visiting restaurants with great care and appreciation for ingredients, products and ideas - while expressing our own identity. 

Guest Interaction:

• Offer insights into the beverages to tell our story behind the drink as well as the visiting teams stories behind their drinks.
• Being inclusive of the visiting teams in your guest engagement

Collaboration with Visiting Chef Team:

• Work closely with visiting chefs and their beverage team to understand their culinary concepts and collaborate on beverage pairings that enhance their creations.
• Assist in sourcing unique and complementary ingredients for special events featuring guest chefs.

Bar Management:

• Manage inventory levels working closely with the Sommelier to assess product needs that are aligned with budgetary requirements

Staff Education:

• Conduct training sessions / tastings for restaurant staff to enhance their knowledge of spirits and new items created

Cost Control:

• Responsible for costing all drinks and documenting recipes and build of all cocktails / mocktails. 

Continuous Learning:

Stay updated on industry trends, sourcing new products, and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills. All members of the Ritual Team are also required to do self-study on all visiting chefs, restaurants and the countries/cities they are located.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bartender or Bar Manager in a reputable restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Michelin/ Fine dining experience.
• Extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, and other beverages.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification from a recognized sommelier program is preferred.
• Attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to perform service duties outside of the bar (running, clearing, marking, etc.)

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, considering cultural practices.
