Financial Systems Manager manages a team of analysts responsible for the implementation and administration of the organization's financial systems. Oversees the daily operations of the department. Being a Financial Systems Manager researches financial record-keeping and reporting requirements, and ensures that systems are modified to meet these requirements. Creates processes and procedures to ensure best practices for financial systems are used throughout the organization. Additionally, Financial Systems Manager trains departmental staff as needed. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Financial Systems Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Financial Systems Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Role at a Glance
    We are excited to bring on a highly motivated Claims Manager to support our Group Protection organization in a work from home environment.
    Background details
    As a Claims Manager, you will be responsible for coaching and developing a team including a team of Claims Specialists and a Claims Supervisor, navigating individual and team priorities and supporting organizational initiatives with a strong emphasis on relationship building and change management. If you enjoy building deep relationship with our customers while helping other achieve their best, please read on!
    What you'll be doing
    • You will manage and evaluate individual and team performance while taking appropriate actions to meet or exceed performance standards.
    • You will provide training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for your team members. This includes giving honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent. You will also ensure that top talent is hired and retained.
    • You will proactively identify areas of opportunity on both the individual and organizational level, working with other managers to drive improvement through various initiatives.
    • You will build deep relationship and collaborate with distribution partners to ensure customer expectations are considered and addressed. You will also review and resolve more complex escalated issues and concerns.
    What we’re looking for
    Must-have experience (required):
    • 4 year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s)
    • 2 years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience.
    • Strong relationship management skills with internal and external clients (e.g. customers, management, peers and colleagues) with a proven ability to develop collaborative approaches.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    Nice to have experience (preferred):
    • Claims management experience.
    • Project management skills including the ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
    • Experience navigating through environments with significant change.
    • Experience in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.
    • Ability to evaluate trends in data or information.

    Pay Range: $67,000 - $120,700

    Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
