Financial Systems Manager manages a team of analysts responsible for the implementation and administration of the organization's financial systems. Oversees the daily operations of the department. Being a Financial Systems Manager researches financial record-keeping and reporting requirements, and ensures that systems are modified to meet these requirements. Creates processes and procedures to ensure best practices for financial systems are used throughout the organization. Additionally, Financial Systems Manager trains departmental staff as needed. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Financial Systems Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Financial Systems Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Scoop:

    The Systems IT Manager is directly responsible to the Operations Manager for coordinating all activities related to maintaining MedImpact’s technical solution. This individual is expected to coordinate the technical activities of the Operations staff to ensure that all technical requirements are met.


    What You Get To Do:

    • Scheduling resources to configure and implement MedImpact’s solution
    • Coordinating with the other AMPP vendors to identify and resolve any issues to ensure proper operation of MedImpact’s solution within the AMPP
    • Ensuring that all technical milestones are met in accordance with the approved work plan
    • Ensuring that all new business and technical requirements are correctly incorporated into MedImpact’s solution
    • Recommending technical improvements to MedImpact’s solution to enable cost savings to the State through process improvement and leveraged technology
    • Ensuring that all technical and testing environments are established and maintained according to the requirements of the contract and that performance and regression testing is always performed with changes and enhancements

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


    Education and/or Experience

    For consideration candidates will need:

    • Bachelor's Degree OR four years' experience, in addition to the general requirement for five (5) years' experience, will be a suitable substitute for the bachelor’s degree
    • Minimum of five (5) years' experience implementing health care solutions within environments like the AMPP
    • Expert knowledge of MedImpact’s solution, having implemented the solution in no less than one environment at least as complex as the AMPP
    • Demonstrated experience implementing solutions within an integrated environment, employing SOA and intelligent business routing

    Computer Skills

    • Strong proficiency with MS Office / Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Outlook to create complex documents, manage schedules, and analyze data
    • Business user of multiple software applications/processing systems
    • Working knowledge of key business application such as SQL coding, Oracle forms, Golden 32, Visio, knowledgeable of UNIX operating systems

    • Strong analytic, verbal, and written communication skills
    • Detail-oriented with high degree of accuracy and organizational skills
    • Able to effectively work as a team player as well as independently Excellent investigative, problem resolution, judgment, and decision- making skills required
    • Excellent presentation and consultative skills, working with internal and external clients at various levels in the organization

    Travel

    This position requires domestic travel of up to 20% of the time.
