Financial Systems Manager manages a team of analysts responsible for the implementation and administration of the organization's financial systems. Oversees the daily operations of the department. Being a Financial Systems Manager researches financial record-keeping and reporting requirements, and ensures that systems are modified to meet these requirements. Creates processes and procedures to ensure best practices for financial systems are used throughout the organization. Additionally, Financial Systems Manager trains departmental staff as needed. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Financial Systems Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     CNO Financial Group’s IT Team is hiring a Systems Analyst to be responsible for collaborating across application domains to elicit and document Business and Functional requirements for our Insurance Admin systems. The Systems Analyst will define technical solutions in support of strategic business capabilities, aligning with IT application roadmaps. The Systems Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert for the systems they support.

    As a Systems Analyst , your responsibilities will include:

    • Providing support for small to medium system enhancements or new systems; typically supporting up to five (5) business areas. This includes an understanding of the inputs and outputs of a system.
    • Collaborating with business partners/stakeholders to elicit detailed business requirements for system modifications/enhancements, or for building a new system, and translating them into system requirements.
    • Documenting detailed functional and non-functional requirements including scalability, capacity, concurrency use, availability, etc. for new and existing systems.
    • Performing analysis to define requirements related to data feeds, integrations between systems and services, business reporting needs, etc.
    • Collaborating with project members to develop specifications, process flow diagrams and/or flowcharts to major system enhancements and support new product development.
    • Engaging with our global delivery team to answer questions to help drive implementation with development teams.
    • Building and maintaining relationships with key business and IT partners within the organization.

    The Systems Analyst position is well-suited for you if you:

    • Are an expert at time management and planning tasks associated with analysis.
    • Have experience working in either waterfall or agile methodologies.
    • Are able to perform system analysis with limited system documentation.
    • Have demonstrated experience in effective meeting facilitation, requirements workshop, and planning.
    • Can create clear and concise business and technical requirements that represent stakeholder’s needs.
    • Can present to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Utilize various modeling techniques such as process modeling, data modeling, and system modeling.
    • Are confident writing requirements using different approaches such as use cases, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams and state charts, data dictionaries, class or entity relationship diagrams in an effort to communicate the solution needs to the development team.

    What you’ll need:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline is required
    • 1-2 years of prior experience in a technical role supporting applications
    • Ability to analyze and manipulate data using SQL functions and operators.
    • Willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours is required.

    • Industry of financial services industry experience is preferred.
