Financial Systems Manager manages a team of analysts responsible for the implementation and administration of the organization's financial systems. Oversees the daily operations of the department. Being a Financial Systems Manager researches financial record-keeping and reporting requirements, and ensures that systems are modified to meet these requirements.     Job Summary:

    Camillo Companies is actively seeking an experienced Financial Systems Manager. The financial systems manager will initiate and drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and associated systems, processes, and policies. This position will support all financial systems attached to the core accounting and reporting functions. Understand, interpret, and transform business problems, opportunities, and requirements for recommending solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    Manage the Financial Systems department which serves as the lead for implementation, administration, and day to day operations of financial systems, user support, and application support across various finance and accounting applications.

    • Maintain master Chart of Accounts across systems.
    • Oversight of business systems and system analysts to ensure financial policy and procedure compliance as directed from the CFO, Vice President of Finance and Vice President of Accounting
    • Be the subject matter expert on Financial Systems, to facilitate stable, scalable, and agile platforms.
    • Develop an excellent control environment to ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
    • Assesses standard operating procedures within finance, makes recommendations for process improvement and drives such efforts.
    • Analyze problems in terms of process and/or system functionality and apply analytical techniques to formulate, communicate and implement solutions.
    • Works with Finance and Accounting leaders to identify areas of opportunity and define the scope of projects/initiatives designed to improve finance effectiveness and efficiency.
    • Develop change management plans and create the communications to share the changes occurring within finance to ensure stakeholders outside of finance (business stakeholders, etc.) are aware of the proposed and current projects and initiatives and provide inputs.
    • Partner with Strategy and Delivery to review all business cases to assess the role and impact (if any) to finance and accounting.
    • Partner with Land, Construction, Retail and Property Management to determine the impact to finance and accounting for all new systems and process changes/improvements.
    • Work with all levels of operations to ensure compliance and understanding of all finance and accounting policies and procedures.
    • Assist management in developing strategies to monitor and uphold compliance.
    Financial Systems Management
    • Manage day to day financial system operations, support end users, and application support across various finance applications.
    • Understand workflows between systems and financial processes.
    • Recommend solutions to improve and streamline system functions while ensuring strong internal controls.
    • Ensure compliance with data governance processes.
    • Maintain an excellent control environment leading to accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting cycles.
    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Working knowledge of GAAP and Financial Reporting.
    • Financial Process experience across all finance and accounting processes and cross functional process knowledge.
    • Chart of Accounts design and financial master data management experience.
    • Results-oriented change agent who is an effective business system thinker.
    • Leadership - Ability to clearly articulate a vision for people to follow.
    • Planning and prioritizing work to manage time effectively and to accomplish priorities.
    • Demonstrate ability to work effectively with others.
    • Friendly and welcoming demeanor with the ability to maintain professionalism and a strong customer-focused demeanor with demanding clientele.
    • Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
    • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with advanced conflict resolution skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills and proficient in English. Must be able to articulate needs and convey information verbally and in writing effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and co-workers throughout the organization.
    • Knowledge of management methods and sound employee relations techniques with an ability to connect to staff, troubleshoot problems and help teams collaborate, as necessary.

    Education and Experience:
    • 5 years or more working in Finance and/or Accounting and leading process improvement and transformation.
