SARA is looking for a remarkably talented, motivated, and experienced Financial Systems Manager to support financial systems, tools, processes and reporting requirements across the company, from our Colorado Springs, CO location. The candidate will have the opportunity to grow and learn with talented engineers, physicists, and technicians on long-standing programs and new programs supporting our customers.
The Financial Systems Manager will have excellent Microsoft Excel skills, communicate effectively both verbally and visually, actively recognize and solve problems, and work well with others. This role is critical in supporting the financial infrastructure of our organization, including the administration of Deltek COBRA, setting up earned value backend solutions, automating financial reporting, aiding in EAC forecasting, and implementing and managing Microsoft Project Server as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial systems management, project management, and team leadership.
Core Responsibilities:

Team Management: Supervise and mentor at least one direct report, ensuring the development of their skills and the achievement of departmental goals

Deltek COBRA Administration: Act as a key administrator for Deltek COBRA, managing and maintaining the system to support the organization's financial operations

Earned Value Management (EVM) Solutions: Support the set up and maintenance of earned value backend solutions, enhancing project tracking and financial reporting

Financial Reporting Automation: Develop and implement strategies to automate financial reporting processes, tools and dashboards for corporate, divisional, and program-specific needs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

EAC Forecasting Assistance: Support the process for and preparation of Estimate at Completion (EAC) forecasting, providing insights and analysis to guide financial planning

Microsoft Project Server: Manage and set up Microsoft Project Server to support project management activities and integrate with financial systems as required

Serve as a liaison between Finance, IT and Accounting

Support various financial reporting, consolidation and analysis functions as needed

Performing other related responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field

Proven experience in financial systems management, preferably within a similar industry

Strong understanding of Deltek COBRA, Microsoft Project, MS Project Server, and other financial management tools

Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and financial forecasting

Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor staff

Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully implementing financial systems and processes

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams

Ability to comprehend and scrutinize large amounts of data and analyze from the big picture down to the small details

Adaptability to rapidly changing priorities and able to quickly provide a current financial picture along with various budgeting alternatives to meet the latest customer requests

Effective oral and visual communication, including the development of material to help others better understand concepts and data

Intermediate-level expertise with MS Excel, including developing spreadsheets that utilize formulas and pivot charts to parse data

Excellent analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Exceptional research and reporting skills

Flexibility to work as part of a diverse team, both remotely and on-site

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field

Salary Range: $120,000 - $170,000
