Financial Systems Analyst implements, maintains, and updates the systems that store and process financial data. Modifies system menus, edits spreadsheets and reports, and troubleshoots system problems. Being a Financial Systems Analyst imports files to and exports files from financial databases. Generates reports and conducts analyses on financial systems data. Additionally, Financial Systems Analyst collaborates with internal teams to determine primary needs and goals and creates solutions to meet those objectives. Trains staff on the use of financial systems and acts as a liaison to the information technology department. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Financial Systems Analyst work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in office 2-3 days a week at one of the following office locations: St. Petersburg, FL; Southfield, MI.


    Job Summary
    Acts as primary support and central point of contact on large or multiple systems with significant impact across the firm. Extensive contact with internal customers, other technology professionals, and vendors is required to identify, research, analyze, and resolve system issues and problems. Is able to integrate domain knowledge with an understanding of financial services standards and practices. Is the primary on complex or escalated issues and may provide direction and guidance to junior team members. Applies specialized business knowledge and technical skills to significant deliverables and projects that involve multiple IT departments, business units and have enterprise impact. Handles complex problems independently and demonstrates analytical thinking. Is able to make judgements and recommendations based on the analysis and interpretation of data.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Main responsibility to help with 3rd party application install package builds and deployments using Tanium Deploy module
    • Ability to watch, troubleshoot and resolve deployment errors via Tanium Deploy module
    • Monitor the health of servers, workstations and agents to include WMI resolution
    • Hardware and Software inventory reporting using Tanium Interact
    • Develop, test and maintain application installation packages using WinRAR and/or InstallShield
    • Configure, test and manage deployments including applications, registry fixes and other scripted commands
    • Monitor deployments through all environments and resolve any issues
    • Managing Active Directory Group Policy
    • Implement advanced scripting using multiple scripting languages when needed, i.e., PowerShell, Python, atch and command line
    • Coordinate application releases with the customer and other IT areas as needed
    • Maintain awareness of industry trends
    • Represent the department on project activities to communicate the capabilities of our services
    • Troubleshoot problems to locate root cause and appropriate fixes in expedient fashion
    • Provide support and technical issue resolution in support of other teams
    • Work with vendors for support with resolving issues and developing/maintaining platform strategy

    Educational/Previous Experience Requirements
    Education/Previous Experience
    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and 1-2 years of relevant experience in systems or application administration or combination of education, training and experience.
    Technical Skills:
    • Tanium Enterprise Endpoint Management tool - mainly Tanium Deploy Module for managing application deployments; or comparable systems management tool such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (formerly System Center Configuration Manager/SCCM)
    • Chocolatey for Business (nice to have)
    • Scripting: PowerShell, Python, Batch and command line
    • Application packaging using InstallShield (preferred), WISE and/or WinRAR
    • Knowledge on how to build Windows installers and removals for enterprise
    • Passive and silent switches
    • Knowledge of Windows installer best practices
    • Version control management
    • Understanding of OS and registry
    • Server and workstation Windows Operating Systems (32-bit and 64-bit)
    • Windows AD

    • Scripting: PowerShell, Python, Batch and command line
    • Patch Management for 3rd party applications
