Financial Systems Analyst implements, maintains, and updates the systems that store and process financial data. Modifies system menus, edits spreadsheets and reports, and troubleshoots system problems. Being a Financial Systems Analyst imports files to and exports files from financial databases. Generates reports and conducts analyses on financial systems data. Additionally, Financial Systems Analyst collaborates with internal teams to determine primary needs and goals and creates solutions to meet those objectives. Trains staff on the use of financial systems and acts as a liaison to the information technology department. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Financial Systems Analyst work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. SUMMARY: Responsible for preparing monthly financial reporting, providing financial analysis, insights, and recommendations for the Company Leadership team as well as preparing the quarterly or other required reporting for the Board of Directors while performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Works closely with the CFO and Accounting team to analyze monthly results, prepare required analytical reporting for Company Leadership team and prepare reporting for the Board of Directors.
Analyzes Capital Expenditure projects and potential acquisitions and provides options or recommendations to management.
Develops financial models, prepares projections, and performs research and analysis as requested.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to seek and share knowledge, identify opportunities for improvements, challenge the status quo, and propose solutions.
Proactively investigates unusual balances, variances, and fluctuations of financial data.
Builds and analyzes ad hoc financial reports as requested.
Assists the CFO with various interactions with financial institutions related to banking matters.
Cross trains for various accounting functions in order to provide backup as needed within the department.
Other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university, preferably in the field of Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics, or a related Business or Science field and two to three years related experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS

Advanced proficiency in business applications, such as Microsoft Office suite, Power-user skills with Microsoft Excel, Familiarity with analytical tools like PowerBI and Experience with ERP software, or the capability to quickly learn the system.
