SUMMARY: Responsible for preparing monthly financial reporting, providing financial analysis, insights, and recommendations for the Company Leadership team as well as preparing the quarterly or other required reporting for the Board of Directors while performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Works closely with the CFO and Accounting team to analyze monthly results, prepare required analytical reporting for Company Leadership team and prepare reporting for the Board of Directors.

Analyzes Capital Expenditure projects and potential acquisitions and provides options or recommendations to management.

Develops financial models, prepares projections, and performs research and analysis as requested.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to seek and share knowledge, identify opportunities for improvements, challenge the status quo, and propose solutions.

Proactively investigates unusual balances, variances, and fluctuations of financial data.

Builds and analyzes ad hoc financial reports as requested.

Assists the CFO with various interactions with financial institutions related to banking matters.

Cross trains for various accounting functions in order to provide backup as needed within the department.

Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university, preferably in the field of Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics, or a related Business or Science field and two to three years related experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the following experience:

Advanced proficiency in business applications, such as Microsoft Office suite, Power-user skills with Microsoft Excel, Familiarity with analytical tools like PowerBI and Experience with ERP software, or the capability to quickly learn the system.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Must have a strong understanding of accounting principles, have solid experience working with Financial Statements and the inter-dependencies between the Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement.
