Experience and Knowledge

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Delivers financial services by
- Accounts receivable and payables
- Preparation of third party & eap payment requests;
- Preparation of monthly cpa report including checkbook reconciliation;
- Daily reconciliation/verification of fees collected;
- Coding and posting to journals and ledgers, making closing entries, applying or verifying account transfers, and summarizing totals and balances;
- Collecting, organizing information for annual audit; and
- Adjusting and correcting backup data.
2. Prepares monthly, quarterly and/or annual reports and financial statements by
- Preparing financial summaries;
- Collecting, recording client and program data; and
- Preparing attendance records
3. Helps prepare and manage agency budget and fund dev. Plan by
- Providing information to program directors to compose annual departmental budgets and grant proposals;
- Monitoring revenue, expenditures, and recommending budget allocations;
- Staffing agency fund-raisers
4. Maintains a perpetual inventory system by
- Recording receipt of materials/equipment against invoices; and
- Recording and tagging inventory
5. Administers retirement and other group benefit plans by
- Calculating payments and completing reports
6. Provides financial and grant historical references and security of financial and program information by
- Establishing and maintaining record keeping system;
- Filing and retrieving program information; and
- Completing data base backups
7. Maintains client and agency confidence and protects operations by
- Enforcing rules, regulations, and legal requirements including state and federal laws related to grants;
- Reviewing, monitoring and recommending changes to current and projected program and agency policies, procedures, practices, standards and operations;
- Performing new employee orientation with regard to agency forms and records; and
- Keeping information confidential
8. Maintains professional competency by
- Participating in continued education and personal growth experiences;
9. Helps people communicate in a harmonious working environment by
- Answering and referring telephone calls on a backup basis
- Maintaining awareness of staff schedules and continuous flow of information
10. Performs other duties as related to the position and as assigned
