Financial Retail Sales Assistant - Registered provides sales and business development support for one or more licensed/registered investment product sales representatives. Performs customer service and administrative tasks to answer product questions, make changes to accounts, open new accounts, and receive orders. Being a Financial Retail Sales Assistant - Registered may execute orders from existing clients. Maintains a sales and referral database and uses telemarketing and customer profiling to generate leads and additional business opportunities with existing and prospective clients. Additionally, Financial Retail Sales Assistant - Registered coordinates referrals, sales appointments, and requests for information. Has a solid knowledge and understanding of the firm's product offerings. May require a bachelor's degree. Requires completion of the FINRA Series 63 Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination and any state licensing.   • Duties

    The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

    As a/an Financial Analyst, you will:

    • Analyze reports submitted on shortfalls, clarify issues, and resolve problems relating to achievement of goals/outcomes
    • Prepare and present professional financial assessment reports, and has the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Conduct and document complex and detailed PHA financial management reviews including analyses of financial statements and reports, trend analysis, and assessment of financial risk for the overall entity as well as Public Housing programs.

    Key Requirements:

    You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    Specialized Experience: For the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:

    - Managing and analyzing large volumes of financial data;
    AND
    • Applying analytical and problem solving techniques to identify financial trends and issues, and develop solutions.;
    AND
    • Conducting financial analysis and developing financial analytical reports and presenting that data to management.;
    AND
    • Providing direction or technical assistance and applying authorities such as financial laws and regulations, OMB circulars, or the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).


    Specialized Experience: For the GS-12 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:

    - Managing and analyzing large volumes of financial data;
    AND
    • Conducting financial analysis and developing financial analytical reports and presenting that data to management.;

    • Applying controlling authorities such as financial laws and regulations, OMB circulars, or the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

    Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
