Responsibilities:

• Execute diverse month-end close activities, encompassing calculations, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Lead the consolidation process of operating companies, involving the recording of elimination entries and the preparation of consolidated financial statements
• Facilitate the preparation and submission of various bank reports
• Collaborate on the annual external audit, providing essential support and fulfilling requested tasks
• Become a proficient user and administrator for the consolidation/planning software, extending support to operating companies for reporting and data management needs
• Supervise the AP process, managing daily accounting duties and overseeing a part-time staff member
• Compile the quarterly forecast and annual budget, completing the consolidation of operating company budgets and forecasts for review and distribution
• Assist the CFO in preparing for periodic meetings and calls for the Bank Group, Board, and ad hoc presentations
• Collaborate with the treasury department staff to enhance cash projection reporting as desired by the Executive team
• Undertake ad hoc reporting, variance analysis, and special projects as needed
• Perform GAAP topic research and implementation for companies regarding new accounting standards
• Assist in the analysis of acquisition targets, industry research, and other relevant tasks

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ total relevant work experience (prior public accounting or reporting experience required)
• Prior experience with team management required
• Demonstrable understanding of financial statements and disclosures required
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required with CPA strongly preferred
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and oral
• Strong technical skills in Excel. Database experience also helpful
• Detail-oriented, strong organizational and time management skills
• Results-oriented and able to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
