MRC Global serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide.
This key role will drive our financial reporting process, including SEC filings, earnings release support, internal management reporting, technical accounting, and special projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not all inclusive)
Individual must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsible for the preparation and review of monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports. These reports include the annual (10-K), quarterly (10-Q) and periodic (8-K) reports that are required (in SEC-format).

Lead the financial reporting team, providing direction, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, industry regulations and financial reporting requirements.

Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support during the audit process.

Oversee equity compensation accounting and short-term incentive.

Collaborate with accounting, internal counsel and other departments.

Oversee the technology that supports the financial reporting function.

Perform technical accounting research and document conclusions on complex transactions/technical accounting issues.
Education, Experience & Ability Requirements
Any combination of requirements, which provide knowledge and abilities necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities, will be considered.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.

Minimum of 8 years of relevant accounting/financial reporting experience, with a preference to individuals who have experience in a financial reporting environment with a listed SEC registrant.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organization skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and conflicting priorities in a rapidly changing environment.

Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently in order to communicate with others; to understand and interpret safety instructions; and to respond to inquiries.
