Financial Reporting Director directs and oversees the preparation and distribution of all periodic financial statements for external use. Ensures that reports, filings and documentation complies with company's regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. Being a Financial Reporting Director confirms that entries, transactions, and accounts are accurately and properly consolidated and are included in internal and external financial statements. Advises management of trends and changes in reporting requirements and recommends best approach for any changes in reporting. Additionally, Financial Reporting Director may serve as a liaison with or oversee the work of external auditors. May direct the preparation of materials for board or shareholders. Requires a bachelor's degree of Accounting or Finance. Typically reports to top management. The Financial Reporting Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     Role Summary/Purpose:

    Synchrony is continuing to build a world class Performance Media and Creative Agency committed to driving results with our retail and payments partners while also delivering leading customer experiences. Within this agency, our Measurement Team is focused on providing analytics and insights to support data-driven decision making across all channels and customer touchpoints. We are seeking an AVP, Digital Media Measurement and Reporting who will support digital media measurement, performance reporting and data visualization, and campaign insights generation.

    We’re proud to offer you choice and flexibility. You have the option to be remote, and work from home, or come into one of our offices. You may be occasionally requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Implement digital media measurement strategy based on measurement framework, work with Ad Ops team to ensure consistent tracking and measurement across platforms

    • Responsible for full funnel digital media performance analysis and reporting, partner with digital channel teams to develop actionable insights to guide media optimization

    • Design and create data visualizations for enterprise marketing performance data reporting

    • Work close with Digital Analytics & Insights team to combine media and CRM data to perform ROI / ROAS analysis

    • Serve as subject matter expert on digital media performance analytics and related tools, both internally and externally.

    • Partner with Audience Management team to define first party audiences that can be shared across partner and client ecosystem (e.g. Google, Facebook, LiveRamp, Salesforce, Segment)

    • Perform cross channel measurement to evaluate and refine activity, including test and learn, conversion lift studies and deeper analysis

    • Evaluate customer journeys and data signals across the customer lifecycle that will inform audience targeting and media flighting

    • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or, in lieu of degree, a high school diploma/GED and 4 years of digital measurement / analytics experience

    • A minimum of 3 years of digital analytics experience

    • Strong analytical skill with the ability to interpret media data and develop action plans, strong attention to detail

    • Deep familiarity with paid digital reporting platforms (Display, Programmatic, SEM, Video, Social)

    • 1 years in an agency or brand analytics team using SQL to extract and analyze paid media performance data

    • Knowledge in the Google analytics suite (Google Analytics, Big Query, Campaign Manager) and data visualization tools (Tableau / Google Data Studio / Power BI)

    • Strong problem-solving and decision making skills

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Experience in audience management, segmentation, and analysis

    • Experience working in the financial industry (e.g. banking, credit cards, lending)

    • Experience in multi-touch attribution (MTA) analysis and media mix modeling (MMM)

    • Working knowledge of media data ETL process and programming languages such as SQL, SAS, Python

    • Working knowledge with campaign trafficking and tagging processes and tools

    • Experience managing and working in mobile measurement platforms (e.g. Branch)

    • Working knowledge of other digital analytics platforms/tools such as Branch, Omniture, CDP’s, audience management, and attribution tools

    • Familiarity of agile processes

    • Strong inter-personal skills, with ability to influence across cross-functional teams in a large org

    • Motivated self-starter and team player

    Grade/Level: 10

                                                      

    The salary range for this position is 65,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD Annual

    Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • You must be 18 years or older

    • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

    • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

    • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

    • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
