Financial Reporting Director directs and oversees the preparation and distribution of all periodic financial statements for external use. Ensures that reports, filings and documentation complies with company's regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. Being a Financial Reporting Director confirms that entries, transactions, and accounts are accurately and properly consolidated and are included in internal and external financial statements. Advises management of trends and changes in reporting requirements and recommends best approach for any changes in reporting. Additionally, Financial Reporting Director may serve as a liaison with or oversee the work of external auditors. May direct the preparation of materials for board or shareholders. Requires a bachelor's degree of Accounting or Finance. Typically reports to top management. The Financial Reporting Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Financial Reporting Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Position Description:

    The Plant Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for leading the development of all Reporting and FP&A activities in support of our Goodyear's Texarkana plant. Included would be data analytics, data mining, financial analysis, plant production and material costs as well as overall reporting as needed using. This role is responsible for providing the financial linkage between North American Tire objectives, goals, strategies, and measures with plant operations through collaboration with operational leadership. These responsibilities include developing and maintaining the monthly plant financial forecast and plant and all operational reporting. This position is responsible for partnering with members of the Plant Leadership Team and other Manufacturing Finance Leadership teams to ensure plant and finance goals and objectives are achieved. Experience with Excel, Hyperion, or Tableau would be valuable for this role.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Work with plant Accounting and Finance teams, other plant associates, and NAT’s Divisional Management to implement effective reporting and data analytices to improve the plant's financial performance. Participate in financial development activities such as the annual operating plan, monthly/quarterly reporting, and special analyses as needed,
    • Lead/Perform cost and financial analysis for plant operating team via data analysis and reporting.
    • Assist in the payback and project evaluation as part of the requested process. Validate anticipated project benefit to the plant via reporting.
    • Work with the Business Center Managers and Area Managers to develop strategic and cost-saving initiatives by utilizing data collections and report generation.


    Required Education and Experience:

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or other business related field
    • 5 years of experience in Financial Analysis / Data Reporting,


    Desired Skills and Abilities:

    • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrates a high level of understanding of how key finance costs and manufacturing decisions impact the business units
    • Experience with pulling data, data mining, and report generation as well as interpretation of data.
    • Able to analyze reports and grasp a situation to create well-reasoned solutions
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities
    • Experience interacting with operational and financial senior management teams
    • Experience supporting large operations, business, or support functions
