Financial Reporting Director directs and oversees the preparation and distribution of all periodic financial statements for external use. Ensures that reports, filings and documentation complies with company's regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. Being a Financial Reporting Director confirms that entries, transactions, and accounts are accurately and properly consolidated and are included in internal and external financial statements. Advises management of trends and changes in reporting requirements and recommends best approach for any changes in reporting. Additionally, Financial Reporting Director may serve as a liaison with or oversee the work of external auditors. May direct the preparation of materials for board or shareholders. Requires a bachelor's degree of Accounting or Finance. Typically reports to top management. The Financial Reporting Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Financial Reporting Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Summary: The Manager Financial Reporting role will manage the planning, preparation and issuance of quarterly and annual financial reporting on an IFRS basis


    Responsibilities:

    • Manages the preparation and submission of consolidated and legal entity financial reporting.
    • Manages and reviews controls, journal entries and related disclosures for US GAAP and IFRS employee benefits plans accounting.
    • Manages the annual audit as well as preparation and submission of the defined benefit and defined contribution financial statements of the Company.
    • Manages the preparation and submission of quarterly and annual government reporting surveys.
    • Manages the review and coordination of statutory financial statements of foreign subsidiaries.
    • Ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley is maintained for responsible areas.
    • Assists with ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or Business required. Master's or CPA/CIA or other designation preferred.
    • Five (5) to eight (8) years of progressive public and private accounting experience is required.
    • People management experience preferred. Experience leading others is required.
    • Industry experience with a publicly traded multinational consumer products company is preferred.
    • Strong enthusiasm for technology, innovation and a fast-paced business environment.
