ABOUT US- Royal Guard Publishing was established in 2020 and is an audiobook and eBook publisher run by authors. RGP primarily focuses on LitRPG, GameLit, Progression Fantasy, Men’s Romance and Cultivation Fantasy genres. RGP hopes to provide enthralling escapes and action-packed adventures for our listeners and readers. RGP aims to provide a more authentic, transparent, and personal experience for our authors.

Overview:
We are seeking an Entry Level Accountant/Financial Analyst to join our publishing house team. This is an excellent opportunity for entry level individuals who love numbers, flexible environments, motivated self-starter, quick learner, efficient, problem solver, hardworking, takes initiative, flexible, extremely organized, and takes extreme attention to details. Must be able to meet all deadlines.

Responsibilities:

· Create manual accurate royalty earnings statements monthly and quarterly for over 100 authors and over 600 titles.

· Track project by project expenses in an organized manner

· QuickBooks bookkeeping

· Track and complete 1099 and 1042 yearly for over 200-300 independent contractors.

· Create various manual expense reports, profit loss, and other financial reports related to publishing

· Run payroll

· Full time will require additional administrative, marketing and customer service tasks related to the publishing industry.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field-- OR in your last 2 semesters of getting your bachelor’s degree in a related field.

· Advanced Excel knowledge.

· Advanced Quickbooks knowledge

· Must understand or be able to learn about foreign income tax treaties and track US sourced income for 1042 purposes.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

· Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

· Proficient computer skills- proficient in Microsoft Office, use of the internet et

· Proficient in social media, Facebook, Instagram, X, Tik Tok

· Excellent customer service skills

· Resourceful – are you the kind of person who self-teaches themselves something they want to learn on youtube?- that’s what we need!! You don’t need to know everything but you need to be able to learn it.

· Ability to use Mac and Windows

· Flexible schedule with ability to work nights and weekends (nights and weekends will be remote work)

· Love for animals (we have our pets in office)

· A reliable vehicle

· Ability to pass a background check

Preference will be given to candidates with the following:

· Experience in publishing

· Experience in preparing royalty reports

· Experience with international payments, 1042 and tax treaties.

We work with authors, artists and narrators from all over the world and therefore must work a very flexible schedule including some nights and weekends. The nights and weekends part can be done remotely. The bulk of this jobs most important duties will be done quarterly- January, March, June, September. Time off will not be available during the first half of these months. No exceptions.

RGP is ran from an in home office located near Pier Park, so must be comfortable with this. Please make sure to look over our social media and website to ensure you are comfortable with the content we produce. We offer flexible schedules and can usually work around your school schedule. There will be some remote work opportunities.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
