The Accountant I position is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day maintenance of and in preparing basic financial reports. The Accountant I is an entry-level position responsible for creating accurate and timely financial records for Electronic Caregiver (ECG) and reports to the Controller or other personnel as designated by the Controller. The specific responsibilities vary, but this position will construct routine spreadsheet applications, prepares financial data for input into accounting and financial systems, and generate reports. Accountant I’s may research financial developments that affect ECG’s income and expenditures. Throughout the year, Accountant I’s may oversee spending to ensure compliance with the budget and determine how changes effect funding levels for certain departments.
In addition to providing accounting support, Accountant I’s must communicate effectively to their supervisor, management, and executive staff within the organization. When called upon, Accountant I’s may provide analysis, and draft financial related findings. Accountant I’s may review and formalize final approval budget revision requests and assist in the audited financial statements of ECG. Accountant I’s may be asked to train staff within the Accounting and Finance department with completing required financial forms, ledgers, and problem resolution. - 18 Days Ago
