POSITION: Director, Commercial - Financial Planning & Analysis

REPORTS TO:  Chief Financial Officer

Position Summary

As the Director, Commercial Financial Planning & Analysis, you'll oversee and execute comprehensive strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, playing a crucial role in coaching, and nurturing our internal team members. Your primary interaction will be with internal stakeholders and business leaders in the commercial functions, contributing significantly to the value creation plan. Your mandate includes propelling continual improvement within the FP&A function by implementing best practices and driving process enhancements.  This position is located at our North Loop Minneapolis headquarters and is a hybrid role (on-site Tuesday through Thursday). 

 Essential Functions

• Lead finance portion of strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting processes in partnership with commercial business leaders, aligning budgets and forecasts. 
• Lead pricing team partnering with CFO and Commercial Leaders.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to uncover trends, offering insights into financial outcome variances.
• Develop actionable financial insights to drive awareness and recommend impactful actions.
• Deepen understanding of incentive compensation programs for target setting (margin and volume) and forecasting objectives.
• Oversee the implementation of new reports and analytical tools for informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with IT team for successful implementation and support of reporting tools.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, sharing expertise as an FP&A subject matter expert.
• Manage FP&A projects effectively to achieve organizational goals.
• Cultivate a high performing team through coaching, mentoring and ongoing training and development.
• Align team performance to Flagstone Foods strategic objectives and cascades communication on divisional and organizational initiatives to ensure employee’s understanding and alignment.

Qualifications (Education/Experience)

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting/ finance; MBA highly preferred. 
• 5 years experience as Sr Manager or Director of Financial Planning and Analysis with Commercial focus or the equivalent. 
• Strong leadership skills required. Experience in CPG, food manufacturing preferred. 
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. SAP experience preferred. 
• Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized. 
• Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and self-motivated. 
• Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity. 
• Ability to self-manage and develop relationships.
