Financial Planning and Analysis Director leads the budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, implementation, and business strategic analysis of the financial team. Position Summary: Reporting to the Vice President of FP&A, the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) of EG America will oversee 1-3 direct reports and is will responsible a variety of the US FP&A functions. The primary responsibilities for this role are financial planning and analysis, forecasting, annual budget process, monthly results review, and ad hoc analysis for various internal business partners. The successful candidate should have a proven and quantifiable track record of success in delivering results within a fast pace growth environment. EG America is a convenience store operator with nearly 1,600 company owned and operated locations across the United States. EG America is a growth-orientated company, and this role will help ensure the structure is in place to support growth, both organically and through acquisitions. EG Americas corporate support center is located in Westborough, MA.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the budget process and creation of the annual budget for the US.
2. Responsible for the financial evaluation for potential acquisition opportunities.
3. Oversees monthly and quarterly budget variance and trend report preparation and timely distribution.
4. Partners with Operations and helps drive results within the field operations.
5. Prepares monthly Board of Directors results presentation and annual budget package.
6. Responsible for the maintenance and data in the reporting Hyperion system.
7. Assist the treasury team with cash flow forecasting.
8. Identifies trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement
9. Provide various ad-hoc reporting and/or analysis requests and participate in ad-hoc projects Lead the development and implementation of Corporate KPIs, management dashboards and/or performance metrics.
10. Special Projects as assigned.
The above responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with documented company policies and procedures, and will be accomplished within established timeframes. All of the above will be accomplished collaboratively while also providing opportunities for independent decision making.
Working Relationship: Internal partners within all departments within EG America. FP&A team in the UK at the Head Office.
Minimum Education:
Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting or relevant experience
Preferred Education:
Bachelors degree in a business related field
Minimum Experience:
10 years in Finance/Accounting
Preferred Experience:
5 years in FP&A at a retail organization
