Financial Assistant (Public) provides assistance to the Public Financial Associates. Assists in the financing of taxable and tax-exempt bonds. Being a Financial Assistant (Public) prepares business reports, proposals, and presentations. Coordinates meetings and communications between all parties involved with transactions. Additionally, Financial Assistant (Public) verifies compliance with NASD and other regulations and completes all required filings for a deal. Familiar with underwriting policies, practices, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Financial Assistant (Public) works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Under the general supervision of the Director of Public Works. Responsible for a variety of municipal public works functions and projects to include, streets and drainage, right of ways, municipal buildings, sewer and repair projects, parks maintenance, and vector
control operations. Collaborate with code enforcement for weedy lots abatement, graffiti control, illegal dumping, solid waste operations and recycling program. Assists in
enforcement of all applicable city codes when required. Assist in emergency management, procurement and onsite incident command as needed. Exercise considerable professional judgment and initiative within the framework of established regulations, policies, and Department Strategic Plan. In absence of Director of Public Works, this position may assume the duties of the department director when assigned.
