Financial Assistant (Public) provides assistance to the Public Financial Associates. Assists in the financing of taxable and tax-exempt bonds. Being a Financial Assistant (Public) prepares business reports, proposals, and presentations. Coordinates meetings and communications between all parties involved with transactions. Additionally, Financial Assistant (Public) verifies compliance with NASD and other regulations and completes all required filings for a deal. Familiar with underwriting policies, practices, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Financial Assistant (Public) works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.     Tuesday- rotation every other week- 8:30am-5:30pm, 9:30am-7pm
    Wednesday-8:30am-5:30pm
    Thursday- 8:30am-5:30pm
    Friday- 8am-3:30pm

    Job Responsibilities

    • Office daily deposits
    • Entering day sheet daily
    • Verifying credit card transactions
    • Generating checks for office bills
    • Managing QuickBooks account
    • Bank Statements
    • Generate checks for incoming bills
    • Manage insurance receivables
    • Post EFT payments for VSP and incoming mail & fax payments
    • Assisting with incoming phone calls for billing
    • Assist in explaining invoices to patients

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
    • Experience with QuickBooks (Preferred)
    • Medical office experience (Preferred)
    • Cash handling experience
    • Math skills
    • Experience with computers
    • Phone etiquette
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Reliable
