    The mission of this full-time position is to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for the organization. You will oversee the processing of payroll, reconciling payroll discrepancies, analyzing payroll data, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. You will work closely with our human resources and finance department to maintain payroll integrity and contribute to overall organizational effectiveness.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Execute end to end payroll processing activities accurately and effectively.
    • Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees.
    • Review and process payroll adjustments including bonuses, retro pay, and other types of compensation.
    • Complete data maintenance in the HRIS system.
    • Lead projects for system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new payroll technologies.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and company policies.
    • Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies, errors, and areas of improvement.
    • Generate reports on payroll metrics, such as hours worked, overtime, and leave balances.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
    • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting payroll.
    • Collaborate with the finance department and external tax advisors as necessary to ensure compliance.
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll matters.
    • Address payroll-related concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
    • Troubleshoot system issues and liaise with IT support and vendors for resolution.

    • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as percentages, fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
    • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.  Exceptional written communication skills are required.
    • Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork.
    • Enthusiastically work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
    • Self-starter and motivated.

    Education, Training, and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
    • Proven experience in payroll processing and analysis, preferably in a corporate environment.
    • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.

    Computer Equipment and Software:

    • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.

    • Standard work week of 40 hours.
