Manages accounting/finance function of the center in compliance with DOL, PRH, Contract, Center, and Equus.

• Has working knowledge of all Policy Requirement Handbook financial requirements.
• Has a working knowledge of all Equus financial procedures.
• Prepares journal entries for assigned accounts according to established schedule.
• Develops and distributes monthly department budgets.
• Reviews and audits financial accounts on a timely basis.
• Establishes(s) to ensure all liabilities and obligations of the center are reported accurately each month.
• Reviews trial balance to locate, identify and resolve all input and accounting errors.
• Maintains center records, ledgers, and journals as necessary to determine center financial status.
• Maintains Student Government Association checking account and reports.
• Performs analysis of various general ledger accounts by reviewing entries, compiling, and comparing transactions, determining, and resolving open items, and interpreting trends and/or deviations. This includes occasional special analyses as required.
• Maintains inventory systems established by the Finance & Administration Director.
• Fills in for the Finance and Administration Director in his/her absence.
• Prepares reports as required.
• Assesses personnel needs and works with the Human Resources department to screen and interview potential staff. Recommends promotions, transfers, and merit evaluations within the department. Conducts and prepares performance appraisals.
• Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills.
• Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property.
• Adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
• Fosters and sustains a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business administration required.
• Three to five years in responsible experience in accounting required.
• One to two years of supervisory experience.
• Experience working with youth.
• A valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
