Finance Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of finance professionals. Oversees the collection and analysis of financial information for an organization. Being a Finance Supervisor monitors the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Finance Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Finance Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Finance Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Are you ready to help us make the future?The Senior Finance Supervisor plays a critical role in delivering insights to Leadership that will improve Plant Operating performance and efficiency. A key member of the ISC Finance team, this role interacts closely with Operations to help drive business decisions that will optimize Plant financial performance and grow operating margins. This role is directly involved in building financial forecasts, annual standard cost setting, analyzing monthly financial results, and developing the Plant’s annual operating plan (AOP).
Business-partnership with cross-functional team members is a key success factor for the Senior Finance Supervisor in helping translate the financial impact of operating decisions and changes in the operating environment. Site engineers and Area Leaders will rely heavily on the Senior Finance Supervisor to help problem-solve, root-cause financial performance, and translate the financial impact of Operational choices. This position reports directly to the UOP ISC Finance Director and supports the Site Leader.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead financial analysis on monthly incurred cost variances, partnering with Operating teams to understand root-cause.
- Deliver financial analysis on strategic projects and forecast development.
- Lead monthly reporting and forecasting processes for Plant financials.
- Provide cross-functional leadership and drive business acumen by building capability in “non-finance” counterparts.
- Drive strong stewardship mindset and principles with Operations to ensure internal controls compliance.
- Develop Annual Operating Plans (AOP) and 3-5 Year Strategic Plans (STRAP)
- Deliver financial guidance to Plant and Corporate/ISC Leadership through reporting and analysis (capital projects, productivity, and manufacturing cost)
