Finance Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of finance professionals. Oversees the collection and analysis of financial information for an organization. Being a Finance Supervisor monitors the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Finance Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Finance Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the on-site supervisor, this position may be assigned primary duties to support the front desk.

This is temporary, non-exempt, and non-supervisory position.
Examples of Duties
General:
Performs daily data processing activity, including compiling and inputting of data. Ensures that associated paperwork is completed in conjunction with corporate policies and applicable procedures.
Maintains proficiency in use of computer systems and office software programs.
Maintains a clean, well-organized work area and represents the Corporation in a professional manner.
Performs incidental clerical duties, including typing and data entry. Makes briefing packets and enters applications.
Receptionist:
Greet public and provide information.
Assists callers in locating proper departments, offices, or individuals by determining the nature of business involved.
Assures proper office closure notices are recorded and posted on the switchboard when applicable.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of: Standard office procedures, business office etiquette, and the use of stand office equipment.
Skills and Abilities: Use of personal computers, Microsoft Office Suite software, facsimile, phones, and postage machines. Basic keyboarding, data entry, and spreadsheet skills are required.
Interpersonal skills will be utilized on a daily basis through interaction with the public and employees.
Must enjoy working with a wide variety of people.
Ability to: Maintain pleasant working relationships. Meet the public, use telephone directories and equipment, think and act quickly in emergencies.
Perform routine clerical work with speed and accuracy. Speak and write clearly and effectively; follow oral and written directions.
Must be able to work with continual interruption.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from High School or equivalent and, at least two years of experience as a receptionist, one of which must be combined with general office experience, including basic computer skills, preferably Word and Excel.
Substitution: Academic experience may be substituted for the required work experience on a year-for-year basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent and four years of progressive administrative experience in office clerical work.
Must be able to prioritize tasks; and productively manage time to ensure compliance with numerous deadlines.
Must be able to lift at least 30# on a regular basis during an 8 workday; bend and stretch; sit and view a computer monitor for extended periods of time.
Excellent communication skills. Must be able to establish and maintain a good working relationship with department staff, other AHFC personnel, suppliers and vendors. Must be able to read and understand written materials, interpret and follow oral and written instructions, prepare written materials at a level consistent with the job requirements.
Must have a valid Alaska’s driver’s license and proof of a good driving record.
