The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) oversees tasks such as maintaining records, managing accounting processes, handling payroll, ensuring compliance and control, and managing risk. They have a keen focus on the company's future financial stability. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting, finance, and business operations, as well as the ability to ensure that the strategic plan aligns with financial realities. The individual in this role is an adept expert at providing the team with invaluable financial insights and projections.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Provide reliable data and analysis to be used in decision-making and planning
- Prepare accurate monthly financial reports, assist in preparation of presentations that provide thoughtful analysis, identify action items, and effectively frame decisions that need to be made
- Provide FP&A finance support to leadership and management related to productivity, demand planning, reporting and metrics in a timely manner
- Identify and understand business challenges; propose and create solutions
- Create variance analysis reports and financial models for real-time financial performance monitoring
- Review all existing vendors agreements and provide analysis for future contracts
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and lead ad hoc strategic finance projects
- Develop monthly analysis for audit compliance with financial information and KPIs
- Provide guidance and assistance to the operations team to control costs and improve profitability
- Prepare and present business cases for CAPEX projects
- Dive deeply into financial data and become a subject matter expert to all areas for each member of the leadership team
- Develop deep understanding of industry, market, and regional trends as well as competitive pressures/opportunities
- Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with teammates and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA, CFA, or CPA certification is highly desirable
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, preferably within the residential services industry
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulation
- Advanced proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, with working knowledge of tools such as Sage Intacct, Vena, or similar ERPs
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, preferred proficiency with tools such as Domo, Power BI, or other business intelligence and data visualization platforms
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders and translate financial insights into operational initiatives
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a finance team
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements:
- Remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
- Move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, ext.
- Complete tasks in a noisy environment
- Move boxes and/or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds across office for various needs

- 4 year of relevant banking experience preferred
