Finance Director directs an organization's financial policies, planning, reporting and controls. Oversees all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, risk, tax, and treasury. Being a Finance Director generally is the second most senior finance executive. Requires a master's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent. Additionally, Finance Director may require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. Typically reports to chief financial officer (CFO). The Finance Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Finance Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Providence is calling a Director, Finance who will:

    • Be responsible for the financial oversight of assigned ministries, including:
    • Monitoring financial performance
    • Variance reporting
    • Supporting the achievement of productivity and supply chain targets
    • Participating in ministry level management meetings
    • Serve as a key liaison to accounts payable and payroll process, in support of the managers and senior leaders throughout the ministries
    • Assist in facilitation of capital projects as prioritized and approved through regional and system processes
    • Assist with development of ministry budgets
    • Provide assistance as needed to the ministry senior management team and departmental leaders as they work to achieve annual and long term strategies
    • Be Responsible for:
    • Development and management of dashboards
    • Achievement of internal audit recommendations
    • Leading special projects as assigned for both the ministry and the region
    • Review of monthly financial statements
    • Partnership with the PSJH accounting team to accurately reflect economics representative of operational and clinical services

    • This role is an in-office position and will report into the office daily as scheduled
    • This role requires for you to be located within a commutable distance of our office location listed below:
    • Texas: Lubbock
    • Work Schedule: Exempt
    • Work Week: Monday - Friday
    • Work Shift: Days
    • Providence is open to consider applicants from other states outside of Texas, please note that an application outside of Lubbock Texas, will be required to relocate within one month of an established start date

    Required qualifications for this position include:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or another related field of study
    • 8 years of experience within a leadership role
    • 10 years of closely related work experience (Ex. Accounting, Finance, Healthcare, Compensation)

    Preferred qualifications for this position include:

    • Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
    • HFMA or FACHE
