KICKAPOO TRIBE IN KANSAS EDUCATION FILE CLERK
The Education Department is looking for an organized file clerk to do file management and maintenance. The file clerk is responsible for organizing paperwork, protect and update files, have basic computer knowledge, and be detail orientated. A file clerk must possess a serious understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
As a file clerk in the Education Department, you will have access to sensitive information about the Kickapoo tribal members that is strictly confidential and cannot be shared under any circumstances.
This is a temporary part-time position located at the Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas Administrative Building and is a TERO position.
Responsibilities:
· File incoming paperwork including correspondence, education records, requisitions, and sensitive documents.
· Store all paperwork in its designated place within each file, securing important documents,
· Follow all policies and procedures as well as confidentiality protocols to safeguard data and information.
· Montor the inventory of current office supplies and report shortages to the Director.
· Assisting with correspondence going in/out, such as phone, email, standard mail, or in-person.
Requirements:
· Strong organizational skills and detail orientated
· Basic knowledge of filing systems and case management
· Basic knowledge of computer and office equipment such as photocopier, scanner, etc.
· Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality and privacy
· Clear and legible handwriting
· Dependable and reliable
· Verbal communication and interpersonal skills
· High school degree or equivalent
This position has a flexible work schedule that will not exceed more than 20 hours per week. Paid weekly.
