Field Superintendent - Construction oversees the daily construction activities of contractors, foremen, and workers at a work site to ensure projects follow schedules. Coordinates the procurement, delivery, and placement of materials and equipment on-site as required to execute each phase of a construction project. Being a Field Superintendent - Construction follows construction schedules and monitors daily and weekly progress to ensure project milestones are achieved. Troubleshoots any issues involving workers, contractors, safety, quality, changes, or processes and expedites solutions to keep the project on track. Additionally, Field Superintendent - Construction directs or conducts inspections to audit the quality of workmanship and materials and compliance with specifications and standards. Completes the required status, change, or timekeeping reports. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a project manager. The Field Superintendent - Construction supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Field Superintendent - Construction typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. We are currently accepting applications for Construction Superintendent. These positions are Full time salaried positions. Our projects are located in the Southern Vermont and Keene, NH areas.
The right candidate will have a solid understanding of the construction process, ability to effectively lead crews in the field by example, have a positive attitude, and champion our safety and diversity cultures.
This position is responsible for the overall on-site management of our large commercial construction projects. In this position you will meet project schedule deadlines, ensure project quality standards are met, effectively communicate with everyone on the site, and lead and mentor the field staff.
We offer market competitive rates of pay. Pay is dependent on experience and skill level.
The typical schedule is Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm
