Field Superintendent - Construction oversees the daily construction activities of contractors, foremen, and workers at a work site to ensure projects follow schedules. Coordinates the procurement, delivery, and placement of materials and equipment on-site as required to execute each phase of a construction project. Being a Field Superintendent - Construction follows construction schedules and monitors daily and weekly progress to ensure project milestones are achieved. Troubleshoots any issues involving workers, contractors, safety, quality, changes, or processes and expedites solutions to keep the project on track. Additionally, Field Superintendent - Construction directs or conducts inspections to audit the quality of workmanship and materials and compliance with specifications and standards. Completes the required status, change, or timekeeping reports. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a project manager. The Field Superintendent - Construction supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Field Superintendent - Construction typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Day In the Life of a Senior Superintendent

    Some of the things we would count on you to support our team with:

    • Site Leadership. Partner effectively with members of the Granger project team; direct subcontractors daily; anticipate the needs of the Owner and proactively set up the project to realize and achieve those objectives.
    • Mentor & Guide. Mentor others; ensure that the team is engaged and working together; provide learning opportunities within the job to less experienced personnel.
    • Cost. Establish a plan, set goals, and achieve sequenced construction activities; ensure work completed by trade subcontractors is within scope of work and is their responsibility; identify and track out of scope components and communicate effectively with the Project Manager to ensure resolution.
    • Schedule & Quality. Partner with other members of the project team to prepare a complete project schedule and manage onsite activities; sequence work in an efficient manner and notify subcontractors well in advance; partner with subcontractors and discuss daily plans of action.

    What Experience You Bring

    • Experience. Previous oversight of commercial construction projects ranging in size from $85-150 million. Experience with healthcare projects desired but not required.
    • Organization. Strong organizational and time management skills.
