Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, and filter replacements
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, such as engine problems, transmission malfunctions, and brake failures
- Inspect vehicle systems, including electrical, cooling, and exhaust systems, to identify any potential issues
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose problems and recommend appropriate repairs
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components for repair or replacement
- Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning after repairs are completed
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as an Diesal Mechanic or similar role
- Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred Skills:
- Tech degree or 2 years in a dealership setting
- Experience working on heavy equipment or class 8 truck
