Field Service Rep. - Electronic Equipment provides maintenance and technical support for company products at customer field locations. Being a Field Service Rep. - Electronic Equipment determines when products should be replaced and recommends and plans upgrades. Identifies and troubleshoots malfunctions and conducts or schedules repairs. Additionally, Field Service Rep. - Electronic Equipment develops detailed service reports to document service visits, issues, and troubleshooting actions and logs and tracks maintenance activities. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Field Service Rep. - Electronic Equipment works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. With a strong presence in Southern California, we are expanding our operations and seeking a dedicated Field Service Supervisor to join our growing team. The successful candidate will manage a team of Field Service Technicians, ensuring the efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial doors, loading dock equipment, and material handling systems throughout the Southwest Region. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and supervise a team of Field Service Technicians.
    • Install, maintain, and repair industrial doors, loading dock equipment, and material handling systems.
    • Act as the primary point of contact at job sites and represent the company professionally.
    • Work closely with the sales team and serve as a technical resource.
    • Perform managerial duties such as project management, quality control, and field training.
    • Design and execute plans to improve Technician performance.
    • Review, approve, and revise Technician Work Orders/Service Reports.

    Qualifications

    • Extensive experience with maintenance, repair, and installation of commercial doors and loading dock equipment.
    • Experience with hydraulic and/or pneumatic maintenance, repair, and service.
    • Experience in welding and steel fabrication.
    • Experience with electrical work.
    • Experience in hiring, training, developing, and managing a team.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership abilities.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven, field service environment.
    • Excellent customer service skills and communication abilities.
    • Valid A, B or C Driver’s License.

    Work Environment

    The role involves working in warehouses, indoors, and outdoor customer locations, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment to ensure safety.

    Travel Requirements

    Frequent travel to and from job sites, vendor locations, and headquarters located in Irvine is expected.
