Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site maintenance and repair services to our customers. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and excellent customer service. You will be riding along with a experienced Service Tech for as long as deemed necessary.
Duties:
- Position starts out with working as a Gas Fireplace Apprentice or Upper Level Depending on Experience, with opportunities to grow into other areas of our business.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and equipment
- Proper use of Testing Instruments on components as needed
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is operating efficiently
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including time spent, parts used, and repairs performed
- Provide training to customers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude extremely desirable
- Ability in the use of Hand Tools
- Familiarity with understanding wiring diagrams is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
