Position Overview:
GEO Field Service is seeking a skilled and experienced Field Machinist to join our Field Service team. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various portable machining equipment. Your expertise will contribute to the precision and quality of our products, ensuring smooth operation and performance used in various industries. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational technical training in machining or a related field preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years experience operating various portable machining equipment
Excellent communication, coordination, and mechanical skills
Strong attention to safety, detail, and accuracy
Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to GEO’s Core Values
Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and fixtures
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics
Ability to use various precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds
Must be able to walk, climb, stand, sit, bend, squat, kneel, stoop, crawl, etc.
Working with, in or around exposures to high noises, chemicals, vibrations, hot/humid, cold conditions, and other outside weather conditions
Days and hours of work are 07:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday when you are in the shop
When working onsite, you may be required to work 12 hour shifts for 7-day work weeks for multiple weeks at a time
Working overtime as needed
0 – 20% travel possible when working onsite
Frequent overnight travel is also expected
Must have a valid TWIC, Driver's License or State issued photo ID
Successful completion and passing of fit-for-duty physicals, background checks, and drug & alcohol testing programs
