Field Service Manager manages field service personnel to provide effective on-site support and technical assistance with various products or equipment. Plans and oversees installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of products/equipment to ensure proper function and maximize uptime. Being a Field Service Manager oversees the scheduling and training of field service representatives. Handles service contracts and directs support services. Additionally, Field Service Manager develops methods, guidelines, and policies to facilitate efficient service delivery. Reviews service reports to monitor service performance and enhance customer satisfaction. A successful Field Service Supervisor (FSS) will be hands-on when needed and manage a team of Field Service Technicians who will install, maintain, and repair industrial doors, loading dock equipment, and material handling systems throughout the Southwest Region. FSSs must be available to travel throughout Orange County, LA County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, San Diego County, and beyond, in some cases. However, Dispatch does their best to keep FSSs close to home.
FSSs must be presentable and showcase good customer service skills, as you will serve as the face of the company and be the primary point of contact at job sites. FSSs will also work directly with our sales team and act as a technical resource. FSSs will be required to work independently in the field with little to no supervision. A Strong work ethic is a must. FSSs must be able to work independently or with a team in a field environment.
This position requires some experience with welding and working with mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems. Prior experience in the repair or installation of industrial equipment and welding is preferred, but not necessary. This position requires the ability to work outdoors, at heights, and lift up to 75 lbs. Due to our customers' policies, this position requires a complete background screening. Also, candidates will be required to drive company vehicles, so a pre-employment drug screening, along with clean driving record and satisfactory DOT physical are mandatory.
While most of our training is hands-on in the field alongside an experienced FSS or Field Services Manager, we also provide Employment Orientation to teach you the fundamentals of the equipment and our company culture.
