Field Service Engineer provides on-site support and technical assistance with various products or equipment. Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains products/equipment. Being a Field Service Engineer identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures. Orders and replaces parts as needed. Additionally, Field Service Engineer develops detailed service reports to document service visits, issues, and troubleshooting actions and logs and tracks maintenance activities. Job Description
The desktop/field support tech will provide help via calls by phone, email, remote login and in person to our remote location end users. The perfect candidate must be proficient with computer hardware, software and Windows 10 OS. The person must be comfortable installing and configuring an OS, software and hardware including Windows 10, Microsoft Office, printers, surveillance systems and preconfigured routers, switches and firewalls. A good understanding of how VLANs and Port Forwarding work is required. The desktop/field support tech must be personable and comfortable working closely with people. They need to have the ability to answer questions from end users and have timely follow up. Since the position requires traveling with in 2h radius of our Headquarters in Morgantown WV will provide a company vehicle and gas card.
