Field Service Engineer provides on-site support and technical assistance with various products or equipment. Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains products/equipment. Being a Field Service Engineer identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures. Orders and replaces parts as needed. Additionally, Field Service Engineer develops detailed service reports to document service visits, issues, and troubleshooting actions and logs and tracks maintenance activities. Answers basic customer questions about product features. May provide some customer training. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Field Service Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Essential & Primary Job Duties
Looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years in field heavy equipment service
with Diesel and Hydraulics Experience. Candidate should have knowledge of electrical diagnostics repair and own tools.
Able to complete diagnostics, troubleshooting, and complete appropriate repairs and rebuilds on Heavy Construction Equipment for a local dealer at offsite customer locations as well as in a shop environment.
CDL not required but must have a good driving record.
Reference and interpret service, parts, and diagnostic software to determine problems/malfunctions and to verify repair specifications and parts needed.
Meets time requirement guidelines (TRG) standards. Escalate unresolved issues for further research and assistance.
Accomplish repair by following parts ordering process, completing service reports, and giving appropriate verbal or written communication in email or service reports.
