Your Elevator Service of Centerville, Utah is seeking a full-time Service Writer / Coordinator to quote customers for residential elevator service and maintenance. Are you great with numbers? The major and most important component of this position is excellent communication skills. Coordinator is not just a title. It is Coordination between oneself and the Customer and their representatives or property/project managers, between themselves and vendors, and suppliers, between themselves and 3rd party payors, and importantly between themselves and other in-house personnel, dispatchers, Accounting, Shop, Inventory and any other including Management. The Coordinator keeps the operation on course through Communication without politics or drama.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SERVICE WRITER/ESTIMATOR

As part of our team, you will play an essential role in increasing revenue for our company! Our Service Writer / Estimator position involves creating accurate take-offs for budgets, performing cost comparisons and analysis, and issuing up-front cost estimates for Stairlift installation repairs. When our service technicians are on a maintenance call and the repair is more complex than what the technician can price in the field for, that's when you come in for assistance with ordering a part or parts and quoting an estimate.

Creates Service Proposal/Estimates, from information received from Field Technicians, and presents that proposal/estimate to the customer, their agent, or other third-party payors involved approval.

This process includes sourcing and pricing parts, either from our in-house inventory or from an outside vendor. arranging for any outside repairs or sub vendor or contractor work. Coordination and supervision of Field Technicians in the performance of the project until complete and paid for.

As coordinator, you may at times go along with the field technician to a job site for clarification, also training, and familiarization with equipment.

Other responsibilities of our Service Writer / Estimator include maintaining accurate records for budget adjustments and providing backup documentation for all adjustments made, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, ensuring databases and department/project-related reporting is accurate, and performing variance analyses to maintain correct budgets. This position will assist in controlling and reducing costs and recognizing reoccurring problems/opportunities for improvement and will attend job site walkthroughs and perform other duties as assigned. You will source parts in our warehouse as well as with outside suppliers. Your ability not only to research, estimate, and close, but also to follow up with maintenance and repairs, will ensure your success at our company.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience as an Estimator or Service Writer

Excellent customer service experience

Knowledge of Quick Books, Excel, & Google

Professional demeanor

Effective multi-tasker

Can work in a fast-paced environment

Education in a relevant field is a plus!
