The PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Regional Field Coordinator is a vital role responsible for promoting, implementing, and supporting PBIS initiatives within the Mideast region of Ohio. Working in collaboration with internal and external partners, the Regional Field Coordinator plays a critical role in building positive and inclusive school climates through the effective implementation of PBIS strategies. Four key deliverables include:
1. Capacity-Building Across the Mideast Region
2. Ongoing Regional Needs Assessment and Planning
3. Training and coaching of PBIS and related school climate initiatives.
4. Data Collection and Reporting
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide guidance and technical assistance to SSTs and ESCs in the Mideast region.
- Conduct monthly face to face sessions and progress monitoring checks with PBIS consultants
- Participate in Ohio PBIS Network meeting and PBIS workgroups
- Participate in monthly meeting with the Department of Education and Workforce (DEW)
- Attend and actively engage in ongoing PBIS trainings and professional development learning opportunities to support school climate initiatives such as safety, mental health, attendance, prevention education, trauma informed care, and behavioral health a, as determined by the DEW
- Collaborate with the DEW, coordinate within each quad, other state and regional entities to align efforts to support student attendance-related activities, behavior and other school climate initiatives within multi-tiered systems of support.
- Develop training, as requested, based on regional and state PBIS needs, or other school climate needs identified in needs assessment or by the DEW.
- Facilitate regularly scheduled meetings with SST and ESC consultants in the Mideast Quadrant to ensure consistency of training and coaching across the state, monitor fidelity of implementation of evidence-based practices, identify the need for and cooperative development of additional resources and update progress on assigned tasks.
- Conduct ongoing regional needs assessments and annual regional coaching plans to ensure information sharing and networking among external instructional coaches (SST, ESC) and internal coaches (district, school).
- Collaborate with ESC research and data specialists, Regional Data Leads, RFCs from other quadrants, representatives from the DEW, State Support Teams, OCALI PBIS specialists, and partner ESCs to build the capacity of Mideast Quadrant ESC staff to review and analyze school and district climate data.
- Provide exemplary professional learning opportunities designed to enhance self and collective efficacy of educators, a critical predictor of high and low performing schools
- Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages buy-in and sustained commitment to PBIS.
Identify and share available resources, research-based materials, and best practices related to PBIS implementation in the region. Facilitate access to training materials and resources for PBIS teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in education or a related field.
- Previous experience with PBIS implementation in educational settings or related behavior intervention frameworks.
- Strong understanding of PBIS principles, practices, and frameworks.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and training facilitation skills.
- Data-driven decision-making skills and experience with data collection and analysis.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and build positive relationships.
- Project management skills and ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Familiarity with education policies and regulations related to behavior and discipline is a plus.
