Parts Coordinator
South Shore Generator is a continually growing company in both the sales and maintenance and repair of emergency standby generators. As such it is crucial to our operation that we have an efficiently run parts department, providing service to internal and external customers. To keep our operations running smoothly, and deliver on our customers’ expectations, we rely on a team of talented, bright, committed employees, who are able to work together, and think outside the box to problem solve. We also rely on our parts team to keep our service technicians adequately stocked, and our quote process moving smoothly. To that end, we are seeking a Parts coordinator to assist our current parts team with daily inventory and stocking tasks. The ideal candidate should be extremely detail oriented and able to manage multiple facets of inventory operations simultaneously, while maintaining a focus on safety.
Objectives and Responsibilities of this role
· Assist the current parts team in gathering and distributing daily inventory required for field technicians.
· Utilizing stock level reports, provide technicians with replenishment as required.
· Receive orders from suppliers, and put inventory away in its appropriate location.
· Work with our warehouse manager to ensure job staging is safe and efficient.
· Assist technicians with unloading and loading of their vans.
· Assist the warehouse manager in the cleanliness and upkeep of the warehouse, as well as disposal of waste fluids and filters.
Required Skills and qualifications
· Organization and ability to handle multiple projects at once
· Proficiency in required computer software including outlook and office suite
· Experience operating a fork lift in a warehouse environment is a plus, training provided.
· Excellent problem solving and critical thinking ability.
· A desire to provide fanatical customer service while maintaining a positive attitude.
· Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers to ensure efficient operations.
