Field Engineering Manager - Construction supervises on-site technical oversight activities to provide engineering guidance and monitoring for construction projects. Monitors construction progress and conducts daily site inspections to ensure work complies with time, budget, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Being a Field Engineering Manager - Construction enforces quality control procedures and inspection protocols to ensure that standards, designs, blueprints, and specifications are understood and followed. Troubleshoots technical issues that arise on-site and consults with architects, contractors, and supervisors to develop and implement solutions with minimal disruption to project schedules. Additionally, Field Engineering Manager - Construction documents construction activities using logs, progress, and inspection reports and regularly updates status to project managers. Procures and coordinates any additional resources required to support field engineering activities. Attends project meetings to provide technical input and recommend improving construction processes. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Field Engineering Manager - Construction supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Field Engineering Manager - Construction typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     REQUIREMENTS OF A CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

    In the realm of hospitality renovations, the role of a Construction Project Manager is indispensable for orchestrating the successful completion of construction projects. Your foremost duty will revolve around bolstering Project Managers in setting up, coordinating, and meticulously documenting projects – a responsibility encompassing both office-based tasks and on-site activities. This position presents a distinctive prospect for immersive learning, both hands-on and through off-site experiences, fostering your professional advancement within our company. Additionally, a construction project manager should be prepared to step in as project deadlines approach, being readily available on-site to provide assistance to our superintendents.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Assist the Project Manager with project set-up, utilizing Procore Project Management software.
    • Coordinate bid walk site visits and subcontractor outreach to compile a comprehensive bidder's list.
    • Review project plans and scope of work to assist in bid qualifying and cost spreads/budgeting.
    • Manage document flow, including certificates of insurance, corporate filing information, and vendor/subcontractor specifications.
    • Execute procurement management by handling purchase orders and tracking procurement progress.
    • Participate in weekly accounting meetings and construction calls, preparing accurate meeting minutes.
    • Conduct final project inspections (punch) to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
    • Prepare close-out documents, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
    • Collaborate with the project team to ensure a cohesive and efficient workflow, stepping in to assist when project deadlines approach.
    • Build and maintain valuable relationships with subcontractors and clients to enhance project collaboration and success.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Willing to train
    • Microsoft Office Suite experience with a focus on strong Excel skills
    • Previous experience in a construction-related role or internship is desirable
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools (knowledge of ProCore is a plus)
    • Basic understanding of construction processes, materials, and building codes
