Field Engineer - Construction delivers on-site technical oversight support to provide engineering guidance and monitoring for construction projects. Monitors construction progress and conducts daily site inspections to ensure work complies with time, budget, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Being a Field Engineer - Construction follows quality control procedures and inspection protocols to ensure that standards, designs, blueprints, and specifications are understood and followed. Troubleshoots technical issues that arise on-site and consult with architects, contractors, and supervisors to develop and implement solutions with minimal disruption to project schedules. Additionally, Field Engineer - Construction documents construction activities using logs, progress, and inspection reports and regularly updates status to project managers. Attends project meetings to provide technical input and present recommendations to improve construction processes. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Position Overview
The Project Engineer (PE) is responsible for assisting and supporting Project Managers and the entire project team with obtaining, evaluating, coordinating, and distributing the information needed to construct projects on time, within budget, safely, and with quality in partnership with the project team.
Primary Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, the PE must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and in a timely manner. The following duties are representative of the job but are not all inclusive and other duties may be assigned as needed.
General

Field Support
· Working knowledge of the contract documents including all drawings and specifications
· Build effective relationships with clients, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values
· Assist with project meetings including preparation of agendas, taking, and distributing meeting minutes
· Assist project team with shop drawing and submittal review
· Assist project team with development and enforcement of project schedule
· Distribute 6-week lookahead schedules via email to subcontractors and notify Project Manager if not received by Superintendent in timely manner
· Assist / manage project closeout (i.e., securing final jurisdictional approvals, punch list, owner training, final cleaning, closeout documentation, etc.)
· Assist with AS Built drawings
Project Manager Support
· Responsible for managing, maintaining, coordinating, organizing, tracking, updating, and/or expediting the flow of project information as required
o Manage Procore usage and maintain current drawings, specifications, submittals, and other documents within Centrex server and Procore software
o Manage submittal process to ensure conformance to the contract documents and timely procurement of materials to maintain quality and schedule
o Manage RFI process, reviewing all RFIs for potential cost / schedule impacts and mitigating those liabilities accordingly in concert with the project team
· Assist Project Manager with change management process tracking
o Draft Change Requests (CRs), Owner Change Orders (COs), and Subcontractor Change Orders (SCOs) as directed by the Project Manager
· Assist Project Manager with creation and entry of the project budget and estimate entry
· Assist Project Manager, Sr. Project Accountant and Accounts Payable with project invoicing, both subcontractor/supplier and owner billing
Contract and Scope Support
· Assist Project Manager to prepare subcontractor and vendor scopes of work
· Produce/draft contract exhibits
· Assist Project Manager in review of Client contracts
· Draft PO, Subcontract and Master Contract Agreement requests at the direction of the Project Manager
· Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of contract text and exhibits
· Ensure contracts and proposals are organized properly and entered correctly
· Ensure vendors (subcontractor, consultant, supplier, etc.) meet Centrex’s compliance requirements
