Fast Food Shift Supervisor jobs in Coachella, CA

Fast Food Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising food preparation and restaurant operations during assigned shifts. Schedules employees based on anticipated staffing needs, and ensures workers are trained in proper food handling practices, safety, and cash handling procedures. Being a Fast Food Shift Supervisor addresses customer complaints and prepares documentation for cash and inventory reporting. Assists team members during rush periods to ensure restaurant efficiency. Additionally, Fast Food Shift Supervisor may be responsible for restaurant opening and/or closing. May require a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members.     What you’ll do:
    The Brass Tacks
    • Supervises personnel employed in the Food and Beverage Department. This includes supporting & motivating employees and ensuring efficient use of time & high-quality service. The F&B Supervisor does not participate in scheduling or disciplining Team Members.
    • Eligible for inclusion in Event Service Charge distributions for hours worked setting up, servicing, and resetting events.
    • In cases of call-outs or staffing shortages may be scheduled as a server or bartender by the F&B Manager or General Manager. In these circumstances this position will clock in as a server or bartender and be eligible to participate in the Outlet Tip Pool.
    • Facilitates sales/customer service/operations interface daily
    • Supervises division activities, overseeing daily operations of all F&B outlets
    • Ensures profitability, efficient operations and adherence to established safety and quality standards daily
    • Inventories supplies and beverages and maintains accurate inventory records monthly
    • Responds to internal and external inquiries and complaints and maintains favorable team member and guest relations as needed
    • Administers state liquor laws as they pertain to operations daily
    • Deals with guests’ challenges and communicates all issues with Food and Beverage Manager
    • Assures that we exceed guest expectations by being responsive, engaged and following-through on all requests
    • Represents organization as point of contact ensuring guests’ needs are met and expectations exceeded
    • Ensures a safe work environment, reporting unsafe conditions and equipment that need repair immediately and that the work area is clean and orderly
    The Nitty Gritty
    • 2 years lead or supervisory experience and/or training in comparable food service operation
    • The ability to read, write and speak English fluently is required to read, analyze, and interpret regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
    • Computer knowledge including Word, Excel, Outlook, and POS system(s)
    • Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks and work in stressful situations
    • Necessary State Food Handler’s License and Liquor Serving Permit
