Fashion Designer is responsible for executing the fashion design strategy for an organization. Creates and manages multiple fashion design projects from conceptualization to finished product and ensures projects are aligned with the brand's identity. Being a Fashion Designer presents design concepts and ideas to internal stakeholders. Effectively communicates design details to the product development and production teams. Additionally, Fashion Designer determines final style, material, and color based on input from sales/marketing, merchandising, development, and manufacturing teams. Ensures fashion designs meet high-quality standards and adhere to approved guidelines. Keeps abreast of consumer needs and trends. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in apparel/fashion design or related field. Typically reports to a manager. The Fashion Designer work is closely managed.     Designer II’s support assigned engineers and other technical positions by providing technical support and translating technical concepts into documentable technical solutions related to water/wastewater projects. They will also translate technical notes, sketches, electronic data, and/or other drawings into neat and organized drawings and packages that clearly communicate the technical solutions designed to the project team and client.


    Duties and Responsibilities

    Technical

    • Review data received from senior technical staff and Project Managers (PMs), analyze information, and determine compliance with standards and design concepts
    • Assist with preliminary and completed layouts, design concepts, and detailed design drawings from technical notes, sketches, and/or other drawings, ensuring they meet our company and industry standards and codes
    • Research and obtain standards/codes required by client and jurisdiction 
    • Work with PMs and technical staff to understand scope of work, schedule, and budget
    • Complete deliverables and project responsibilities within scope, budget, and schedule, reviewing drawings for completeness and accuracy
    • Organize and maintain all revisions of project-related information per our Company policies and procedures
    • Use various applications to generate drawings, reports, or other technical based deliverables based on specific project requirements
    • Follow technical aspects and policies of the Department and Company 
    • Analyze technical problems; devise new or improved techniques, approaches, and alternative solutions; and communicate those to supervisor for approval and implementation
    • Use company’s current technology as much as practicable to design projects
    • Participate in scheduled Team meetings and as needed, project meetings 

    Client and Business Development

    • Participate in civic and community events
    • Seek opportunities for cross-selling to enhance and expand our existing client relationships during and after projects

    Requirements

      

    Required:

    • Associate degree or related technical certificate or equivalent experience
    • 5-10 years of AutoCAD/ AutoCAD Civil3D experience; ideally with municipal water/wastewater project experience
    • Experience with pump station design, lift station design, well site design, water distribution, and sewer collection design. 
    • Self-motivated, engaged, and team-oriented 
    • Execute multiple tasks under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
    • Understand planning and/or design concepts and methods
    • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail 
    • Willingness to take direction
    • Demonstrate personal investment in your career
    • Energetic, flexible, confident, and forward thinking
    • Experience in Microsoft Office applications

    Working Conditions

    The assignment may require infrequent evening/weekend work. Candidates should enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced, and client-driven environment.


    Physical Requirements

    The assignment may occasionally require repetitive physical tasks (such as operating a computer), standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time, extended time travelling in a vehicle, and carrying equipment and materials up to 25 pounds.
