Center for Change is seeking a part-time Family Educator to collaborate with the Center's multidisciplinary treatment team in providing care and resources to patients and their families in our Orem UT location. Since 1996, the Center's philosophy on treating eating disorders focuses on providing patients with opportunities to explore and redevelop a healthy relationship with food, helping them eat intuitively according to hunger and fullness. Each patient at the Center receives individual counseling sessions with a therapist, dietitian, and medical professionals. The message that "hope is real" is woven into our entire treatment process.
Responsibilities:
The Family Educator helps patients to develop skills and motivation to recover and provides the community with educational materials related to eating disorders. Helps facilitate family education days every month and coordinated with the clinical team. Helps measure the quality of groups and receives feedback from the families and the community on how Center for Change can better serve the community and families.
