Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Family Support Counselor work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Our Home and Community-Based Treatment and Support program seeks a self-motivated, compassionate, and dedicated individual looking to support children and families in the community. Using your therapeutic skills, you will help families to identify their needs and strengths to overcome the challenges that they may face as a caretaker. How you get to use your skills…
Demonstrate your areas of clinical strength by implementing various therapeutic interventions/modalities in your practice, which heavily includes solution-focused therapy.
Modeling and teaching basic life skills to empower individuals and families to become self-sufficient.
Become a primary support in helping families to develop preventative and responsive skills to crisis.
Serve as a leader in collaborative efforts to develop an individualized service plan that will drive the provision of Resiliency services and deliver in a manner that is trauma informed and strengths-based.
Demonstrate an inclusive and accepting practice both in the office and in the field to support a diverse and accepting culture.
Schedule:
We are looking for an applicant who is willing to work with the youth/families at a time that suits the youth and family needs on a flexible schedule. This is a full-time, 40-hour-a-week position with rotating on-call responsibilities.
