The Facility Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures. Being a Facility Maintenance Technician recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required. Develops, maintains and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools. In addition, Facility Maintenance Technician assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and work flow. Oversee and review the work of lower-level technicians. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervior or manager. Being a Facility Maintenance Technician works under moderate supervision. Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Sanitas is looking for a Handyman passionate for fixing all arising issues at our facilities. Someone who wants to take responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of upkeep or repair operations.
Our goal across locations is to ensure that the Sanitas facilities are running smoothly at all times and all maintenance issues are solved within 24h.
An excellent handyman must have a great eye for detail, prioritize urgent issues that are impacting operations and proactively fix non-urgent ones. They must have technical skills and general knowledge of various crafts such as painting, basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC etc. You will be required to ensure all work areas and equipment. Leadership and knowledge of administrative tasks such as prioritizing, and scheduling are also essential in this position to be able to manage deadlines well.
