Facility Maintenance Technician jobs in Missouri

The Facility Maintenance Technician performs a variety of routine and skilled tasks involving general maintenance of Good Day Farm's facilities, equipment, and grounds. There is a wide range of facilities services tasks including, but not limited to, non-technical maintenance of plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, and/or air conditioning facilities and equipment, at a level not requiring formal licensure. The technician may also be required to perform tasks of other unlicensed trades, such as a light equipment operator, carpenter, painter, and/or locksmith.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Makes routine plumbing repairs, replaces lighting, and makes electrical related repairs.
• Performs preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
• Works independently on routine recurring assignments or assists another worker in performing more complex tasks.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with fellow employees.
• Learns and performs assigned tasks quickly and correctly through on-the-job training and learns safety regulations and practices safety precautions.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, machine manuals, and schematic drawings to assist in making plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Comprehends written materials.
• Uses Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety procedures, and appropriate equipment in completing assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check.
• Must be able to communicate with GDF Team effectively and professionally.
• Experience with electrical, HVAC systems, and refrigeration systems.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of basic machine operations.
• Knowledge of three-phase motors and controls up to 480 volts.
• Knowledge of the use and care of commonly used equipment and tools.
• Must be able to perform manual labor outdoors in temperature extremes for extended periods of time.
• Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Must be a team player with a "can do" attitude.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• Post-Secondary trade or vocational school preferred; equivalent experience considered in lieu of formal education preferred.
• Minimum of 1 years' experience with mechanical responsibilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to respond quickly to sounds.
• Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
• Must be able to see and respond to dangerous situations.
• Must be able to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
• Must be able to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time.
• Must be able to work in bright/hot/humid conditions.
• Must be able to work in low light situations.
• Must be able to lift, stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, push/pull, use hands repetitively, grasp using hands, and respond to visual activity.
• This position may be exposed to limited hazardous chemicals.
