The Facility Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures. Being a Facility Maintenance Technician recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required. Develops, maintains and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools. In addition, Facility Maintenance Technician assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and work flow. Oversee and review the work of lower-level technicians. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervior or manager. Being a Facility Maintenance Technician works under moderate supervision. Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Job Summary:
We are seeking for an inspiring or skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team! The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks usually along side a manager to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of spaces to ensure a safe and healthy environment
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as paint, cleaning, etc.
-Demolition and basic construction
- Repair or replace defective construction
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems to diagnose problems and implement solutions
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks based on urgency
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate repairs and ensure minimal disruption to operations
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections
Experience:
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred BUT NOT REQUIRED
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for repairs and installations
- Ability to read technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
- Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and providing excellent customer service
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications or training is a plus
